High Horse

Unfortunately, the lead singer of High Horse opted out of doing the video on Friday night due to a cold that he was still trying to shake.

I'm sure that these guys will return later in better health.

The Return of High Horse

Tonight at Odom's we have the return of High Horse. We'll be getting video of them. If you want get a good seat, show up early... these guys pack the house.

I finally got the video of 31 South uploaded and ready to view.
There are not a lot of videos this week because of technical difficulties. I forgot to hit record on the Handycam in the ceiling so half the angles are blank, so they are not going to make it to the Internet.

What I did get is really good.

Middle Ground Returns to Odom's

Way back on November 13th we had Middle Ground return to Odom's for the weekend.
It was kind of a sad show since the band wasn't all here.
We had Melinda, Tom, Renee, Ken, and Jerry Eiland, but there was no Tommy Fears.

Tommy wasn't able to play with the band, as he is recovering from a heart attack. We all hope that Tommy gets better soon, but I think that he has a lot healing up to do before he is up and about.

It's Friday and that means that we are having Middle Ground here tonight! It's been a while since Tom, Melinda, Renee, Jerry, and Ken have been here. I got a bunch of great videos of the Persuaders when they performed here last Friday.
These folks put on a really great show.
I liked working with these guys and gals. They setup in about an hour, sing any song you can think of, tear down in in hour, and are really nice and professional the entire time.

I hope that they get a lot of exposure from these videos.

Surprisingly "The DT's" doesn't stand for "Delerium Tremens" like I thought. It actually stands for Darren and Tom, they are the lead singers and stuff. They are really nice guys and it was a pleasure to work with them.

David is the sound guy for The DT's. He helped me to get the fantastic sound on these videos. He is very knowledgeable and produces quality results.

The lead guitar guy was really good.

This is what it looks like from the Dj booth. This is what DJ Jerry Eiland will be looking out on tonight as he cue's up the music that we just got from iTunes. We have a lot of new videos this week. We just got the new Black Eyed Peas one called "Meet me half way". I'm looking foward to seeing the crowds reaction to it.

That's right folks High Horse will be here at Odom's.
Hopefully we'll get video of them.

Don't forget that, aside from High Horse, we have $1.50 Natural Light and Miller High Life in the can all day Sunday...because the good lord wants you to have beer at a discount.

Oh Oh!!! I almost forgot. There is a new video game at Odom's. It's called "Big Buck Hunter (Pro) Open Season" Basically you have a shotgun that you shoot wild life with. I'm sure that we'll all get really good at shootin soon enough.

What do you mean we already have a band this weekend?

Doubles can be really great things:

Or Doubles can be not so great. Like Double Booking...Thats when you tell two different bands that they are playing the same days. Usually this leads to tragedy.

Sometimes the bands that are booked are from Pensacola and know each other and call each other and work things out.

This all works in favor of the Odom's Bar patrons, because they get a Plethora of bands to choose from this weekend.

We experienced some technical difficulties here at Odom's on Friday night. Too bad really, "The Shiz" was awesome! That Jerry Dawson guy really tears it up on the guitar.
Not to fear...I'm sure that these guys will be back sometime soon.

Tuesday, that day of the week that is almost Wednesday. If Wednesday is "Hump Day", then Tuesday must be "Pre-Hump Day." There really isn't that much happening here at Odom's on Tuesday. We are all saving our energies for This Friday and Saturday when "The Shiz" shows up here and cleans the wax out of our ears. Don't forget to look at their myspace

Unfortunately I missed out on Tim's Birthday party.
Everybody that was there said they had a blast. Tim gets mad props for his onion rings from everybody that was in attendance.

That's right folks! Everybody's favorite party band is coming to Odom's tonight with their big fancy light show.

I won't be doing any video this weekend because the band got themselves an HD camera and a Macbook.

I'm jealous...their gear is so primo.

So its not officially the weekend yet, but here at Odom's it is. We will be having DJ JE cranking up the "Booty Hut" and spinning the music that Century loves to grove to.

Wednesday

So there isn't much going on at Odom's tonight, but that is soon to change. I've heard rumors that Karaoke with Kelly is going to be moved from Sunday to Wednesday nights. I believe that Kelly will be running a Karaoke Kontest some time in the future. Not sure what the prizes are going to be yet, but I'm sure that there will be something for everybody.

I plan to video the contest and spread it across the Internet.

Tomorrow Night(Thurs.) We will be having the DJ booth with Jerry Eiland. Speaking of Jerry, he's here to set up his gear for this weekend with the band.
